In 1995, this Colorado farm girl became aware of a malicious plan construed by a man named Feruch Murchofk, designed to eliminate her parents and take over the secluded land for terrorist training. Discovering her knowledge, Murchofk began drugging the girl, causing spells of schitzophrenia.
She was placed in an asylum, and her attemps to escape resulted in severe drug and shock treatments. Murchofk's drugs, combined with numerous electrocutions, caused a genetic reaction in her body enabling her to control the electrons in her immediate environment.
Secretly, she developed her abilities and violently escaped the asylum, determined to save her parents and seek revenge on Murchofk.
Returning to her home, she found the land desolate and her parents' charred bodies in a freshly burnt house. Persued by asylum security, she was found at the home and convicted of using her powers to murder her family. She's been on the run ever since, an outlaw, hell bent to find Murchofk and eliminate the world from evil doers like him.

Being called "The Ice Princess" by her fellow executives at Cryonic Innovations didn't bother Sylvia Cross. In fact she looked on it as a badge of honor, because it was just those ruthless tactics that got her to keep her job when Crey Industries aquired the fledgling company. She was happy when the takeover occured. Crey was exactly the place where she could flourish. However, that enthusiasm was lost on the day of the "accident". During a routine inspection of one of the companies storage depots, Ms. Cross stumbled upon something she shouldn't have, dead heroes from the Rikti invasion, and some that were not so dead. They were being stored as material for genetic research done at another lab owned by Crey. The breach of security set off an autodestruct program in the facility that destroyed the evidence and killed 2 dozen employees. Sylvia survivied but exposure to certain chemicals had changed her body and the experience changed her spirit. " 'Frigid" was born on that day.

She was born a Striga (witch) in a small village in the Apennine Mts. in the
Fruili region of northern Italy. The village she was born in consisted of a
single Boschetto (coven). After years of persecution and mistrust the
boschetto retreated deeper and deeper into the mts. The boschetto perfected
an offshoot of a type of magic called Benandanti (translated good walkers or
good-doers) in which the numen (spirit of animate and inanimate objects) can
be gathered and used to fight evil. The world became too populated and
technology too advanced for the village to hide anymore. At the age of 5
Liquirizias family moved to Paragon City. Growing up she was taught
Benandanti by her family. Being a bit rebellious and a bit too sure of
herself, she secretly experimented with the darker forces thinking to use
evils own strength against itself. After a while though the dark forces
began to alter her appearance and threatend to take her over. Her family
battled to save her and was successful. They tattoed a magic rune on her
chest to keep her soul protected.

granddaughter of the Golden Age superheroine of the
same name who fought against the Axis during the 2nd
World War. Annabelle gained her powers through the
same magical talisman that her gandmother possessed
when she was American Maiden. This talisman granted
Annabelle her incredible strength and invunerability,
as well as other powers that she is learning to use as
her power increases. As American Maiden, she is
charged with the protection of and defense of freedom
and liberty from all enemies; a task that may seem
daunting at first, but one that she's ready to take on.

Kangae is a member of a fairly pacifistic race. She's kind of the odd-woman-out since she does believe in getting things done by way of violence. She just chooses to take a backseat and support those who can kick butt by healing them. One of her favorite sayings is "Kick butt, take names!" She is also often heard saying, "Healing is what I do. It's who I am. It may be the only thing I do, but at least I do it, and do it well." She's extremely proud of her healing abilities and of her fellow Ladies abilities to kick butt.

Although she is part demon, she fights against evil at every turn in a bid to redeem herself and prove once and for all that she is more a demon of the light...... than a person of darkness.

Catechism is the twin sister of Anubys, and a demonic/kheldian hybrid. while most times this would create a warshade, her memories were wiped when she was nearly killed at the hands of her enemies; thus there was no evil to corrupt the kheldian she was joined with in the desperate attempt to save her life. Catechism fights by instinct, trusting in the kheldian to guide her movements, and unbeknownst to her, the tutalage of her younger sister. maybe some day she will attain the powe she once wielded......
